now some people have bizarrely specific and frankly creepy fetishes, like me!! im into hardcore control and abuse and stuff. this is the big problem with comics like teahouse and starfighter. its ok to have a comic filled with codependant relationships and masturbating during spacefights as long as the authors and the readers acknowledge that the relationships are unhealthy. but they dont! call abuse the authors are constantly saying “well X is a slave”“well thats just how it WORKS in this world”“well nyehnyehnyehhhh”

and none!! of these!!! things justify abuse!! nothing does!!! you are romanticizing abuse. you’re turning it into a not so bad thing. you are saying there is a reason to abuse someone. and there isn’t! ever!

fetishizing things is ok. some people use it to cope! others just like being smacked with a paddle. both of these things are ok! romanticizing things are not.

this seems relevant! please when you submit fetish porn to this blog consider whether this applies or if you’re just kinkshaming mmk

honestly I find the way you can’t tear yourself away from a terrible webcomic to be a large part of the magic? I probably keep up with more bad than good ones, hah. there’s definitely ones that are just straight-up hilarious (Tails Gets Trolled) and ones which have something more… confusing going on.

Moon Over June is the number one webcomic that I read regularly, feeling my heart harden and the life (and sex drive) sap out of me, and yet unable to turn away from, but Eerie Cuties is one that draws me in because it just… nearly… has the potential to be good and I keep checking it all “please stop being bad. please.” It’s like the opposite of Questionable Content where I remember having enjoyed it and then I just gave up because I realised those days are long past. One day, Eerie Cuties, I want to like you.
